A Biblical Case for Exposing the Dark Work of Abortion

This is more than a call to pro-life action. It is a distinctively Christian call to pro-life action. There are certain things that Christians and only Christians can do in the pro-life movement. Namely it is this: as children of light we are to be what we are.

What this means is that the Gospel and our new life in Christ have implications on our actions. There is a distinctively Christian way to live. Or as Paul says earlier in Ephesians in verse one of chapter four, that there is a manner of living that is worthy of our calling.

Sometimes we forget this and we don’t live as Christians everywhere. We compartmentalize our Christian life and lock it away so that it doesn’t mingle with or contaminate the other life we try to live. But our entire life and all of our actions must be in step with the Gospel as the Apostle Paul says in Galatians 2:14. You have one life, and abiding in Christ bears fruit in all the places of your life: your career, your family, your finances, your politics, and your social activism.

And so if it is your desire to live as a Christian at all times and in all places, let’s look to God’s word in Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 1-13 and see what it means to live as Children of light, to be who you are, and expose the dark work of abortion.
